Meet Ebonie

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a background in special education and applied behavior analysis. My professional experience includes working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder across a variety of settings, including home, schools, and daycare programs.

I began my career in education, where I developed a strong foundation in supporting children with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Through my work in both educational and clinical settings, I discovered a passion for helping children and families build meaningful skills that improve independence, communication, social development, and overall quality of life.

Since becoming a BCBA, I have provided behavior-analytic services to children and families across multiple environments, collaborating closely with caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to create individualized and effective treatment plans. I have extensive experience working with the early intervention population and specialize in supporting young children during critical stages of development.

In 2023, I relocated to Maryland, where I currently reside and practice as a BCBA. I provide services throughout the area in homes, schools, and daycare settings. I am committed to using evidence-based practices while building strong relationships with the children, families, and professionals I serve. My goal is to help each child reach their fullest potential through compassionate, individualized, and family-centered care.

Meet Ivorie

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a passion for supporting children with autism and their families through individualized, evidence-based services. My goal is to help children build meaningful communication, social, adaptive, and independence skills that enhance their success across home, school, and community settings.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and spent six years as a special education teacher supporting students with diverse learning needs. Inspired to make a greater impact, I earned my Master of Education in Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2020.

Throughout my career, I have worked with children with autism across home, clinic, school, and community environments. My experience includes conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, supervising clinical teams, providing caregiver training, and collaborating with educators and related service providers to support meaningful progress.

As a BCBA and co-founder of Legacy Behavioral Consulting, I am committed to empowering families, mentoring professionals, and providing high-quality behavioral services. I believe lasting change is built through collaboration, consistency, and strong relationships, and I am honored to partner with families on their journey toward growth and success.

Our Story & Commitment

How We Started
Ebonie and Ivorie

Legacy Behavioral Consulting was founded by twin sisters Ebonie Hicks, BCBA, and Ivorie Hicks, BCBA, whose passion for supporting children and families began long before becoming behavior analysts. Before transitioning into the field of behavior analysis, both Ebonie and Ivorie spent seven years as special education teachers, working directly with children with diverse learning and behavioral needs.

Those experiences provided a deep understanding of the challenges families, educators, and caregivers face every day and reinforced their commitment to helping children succeed across home, school, and community settings.

The name Legacy reflects more than just our business-it reflects our family. Raised in a family of special educators, we learned early on the value of compassion, service,
